Leaders and workers of BNP and other organizations from different upazilas of the district joined the rally.
District BNP leader Ali Asgar Talukdar Hena complained that their people had to face police obstacles on their way from Sariakandi, Dhunat and Gabtali upazilas. Leaders and workers were dropped from the bus. Later they walked to the gathering place.
Addressing the chief guest at the rally, BNP Standing Committee member Khandkar Mosharf Hossain said, “Awami League will not give up power through compromise, this fascism government must be ousted by force.”
Khandaker Mosharraf also said, “Democracy is killed where there is Awami League. And where there is BNP, democracy is restored. Democracy will be restored only if Khaleda Zia is freed.”
The chief guest of the rally also mentioned that Awami League will not give up power through compromise.
He said, “There is no need for any 10-point demand. One-point demand, farewell to Sheikh Hasina.”
Other speakers said that today, when people go to the market, they are breathless.
