Jabi teacher’s ‘sexual harassment’: UGC wants action

Mouli Azad said, in view of this incident, the commission is requested to inform the commission by letter and email within seven working days of the action taken by the university authorities.

He said that the UGC will consider the next step after receiving the letter from the university authorities.

However, several calls to the registrar and vice-chancellor of the university could not be reached to inquire about the letter.

In a press conference on December 1 last year, some teachers of the university demanded an investigation into the allegations of having an ‘immoral relationship’ with a female student.
