Prannoy Verma, the Indian High Commissioner appointed in this country, thinks that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is exemplary for Indians like Bangladesh.
He said this to reporters after paying respects at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, Gopalganj on Friday afternoon.
Prannoy Verma said, “Bangabandhu is a role model not only for Bangladesh but also for Indians. People of both the countries sacrificed their lives in the great liberation war in 1971 for the sake of Bangladesh-India relations. The commonality of language, culture and heritage between Bangladesh and India will continue from generation to generation.”
Prannoy Verma commented that Bangladesh’s progress in social security and human welfare is exemplary for the whole world.
