The Civil Aviation Authority (BABICHAK) has organized special training to reduce passenger harassment and improve service quality at all airports in the country, including Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Officials of all government and non-governmental organizations working at the airport will undergo this training periodically.
Babychak Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md inaugurated this training course named ‘Passenger Service and Facilitation’ at the Civil Aviation Academy on Wednesday. Mofidur Rahman.
Members of 24 government institutions and 32 airlines working at Shahjalal Airport are participating in this course.
A total of 30 officials from foreign airlines including Customs, Immigration, APBN, Airport Health, National Intelligence Security Agency, Avsec, Bangladesh Biman, working at Shahjalal Airport participated in the first batch of this two-day training.
Participants in this course will be given a medal and certificate with the title ‘Honorable Passenger Paramount’.
In the opening ceremony, the chairman of Babychak said, “This course will play an important role in solving the long-standing passenger harassment at the airports. Conducting this course has been made mandatory for the members of every organization working at all airports in Bangladesh. BABICHAK will conduct this course progressively to ensure international standards by making passengers’ journeys safe, pleasant and seamless at airports on a priority basis.”
On the occasion, Shahjalal International Airport Executive Director Group Captain Mohammad Kamrul Islam outlined the plan to conduct this course consistently for 1500 members of 56 organizations working at the airport. He said, after this course under the supervision of experienced trainers under the auspices of Babychak as per International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, there will be a radical change in passenger service.
