The students said that the 15/20 security personnel of Mujtaba Ali Hall and Bangabandhu Hall saw a sudden fire on the mound on Sunday afternoon and went to put it out. Some of the fruit plants of the dune have been damaged. In addition, the grass under the trees is burnt to ashes.
Proctor Kamruzzaman Chowdhury said, after hearing the incident, the proctoral body went there. It is not known who started the fire. Although some plants were burnt, there was not much damage.
He also said, “I know that university students and outsiders usually go there. One of them can start a fire. We will look into this matter.”
