Locals rescued a vulture from Laksam pond in Comilla. Later it was sent to the forest department office.
Locals said that the vulture landed in the pond next to the Laksam Gas office on Tuesday evening.
Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. AKM Rakibul Hasan said that the vulture was weak and fell into the pond due to lack of food. He treated the vulture on Wednesday morning.
Abdullah Al Nahian, gardener of the Laxam Forest Department office, said that the local people brought the vulture on Tuesday night. He told the matter to the senior officer. Once the bird is fully recovered, it will be released in Comilla Kotbari Social Forest area.
