Although many dream of studying in Dhaka University, it remains unattainable for most of them. Now that dream can be fulfilled even after completing graduation in another university.
From the current academic year, foreign students are getting admission in the regular Master’s program there.
The University Syndicate approved the policy on October 30, where age and academic years are not mandatory.
However, not everyone can apply. Must have minimum four years Graduation (Honours) from UGC approved University.
According to the decision of the Syndicate, the candidate for admission in graduation should have at least 3.25 CGPA. And in SSC and HSC the GPA of science department students should have sum of 8 and separately 3.5. Humanities students must have a minimum GPA of 7.5 plus 3 separately and business education students must have a minimum GPA of 7.5 plus 3 separately.
In this regard, Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor ASM Maqsood Kamal told bdnews24.com, “After admission of regular students of Dhaka University, as many seats remain vacant, only those seats will be admitted to outside students.”
The concerned department/institute will conduct the overall process of the admission test for the postgraduate program. Applications will be invited by the department-institutes through the admission notification. Then the students will be admitted according to the merit list through written test and oral test of 100 marks.
