Various events are organized in Pabna on the death anniversary of Suchitra Sen

She is a great heroine to the fans whose presence on the screen reminds us of the modern Bengali woman. Her speaking style, hairstyle, look in her eyes, wearing different sarees, smile, movement all impressed the movie goers.

She is the heroine Suchitra Sen. January 17 is his ninth death anniversary.

The day’s program began with a wreath-laying ceremony at Suchitra Sen’s mural at her ancestral home at 10 am. After that, a memorial service was held in the premises of the museum and local artistes performed songs from films starring Suchitra Sen.

Apart from this, a memorial service was organized at Suchitra Sen Memorial Museum in Pabna, which is full of memories of her childhood and youth.

Speakers at the memorial meeting highlighted various aspects of his performance and discussed. They also demanded to enrich this memorial museum.

Manoj Kumar, Assistant High Commissioner of Indian Embassy in Rajshahi Division, was the chief guest at the commemoration meeting conducted by Asad Babu under the chairmanship of Acting President of Suchitra Sen Memorial Preservation Parishad, Ramdulal Bhaumak.

Second Secretary of Indian High Commission Deepak Kumar Kaula, Professor Kamruzzaman, Zilla Parishad Chairman Bir Muktijoddha ASM Abdur Rahim Pakon, former Zilla Parishad Chairman and District Awami League President Rezaul Rahim Lal, Additional Superintendent of Police Masood Alam, Pabna Press Club President ABM also spoke. Fazlur Rahman and Municipal Mayor Sharif Sharif Uddin Pradhan.
