World-winning Italian actress Gina Lollabrigida has passed away


Gina Lollabrigida, the actress who conquered Italy and gained fame throughout Europe, spread her light in Hollywood, Bhuvanmohini is no more.

The 95-year-old Italian actress died at a clinic in Rome on Monday, her former lawyer Julia Chitani told Reuters news agency.

The extremely popular actress of the fifties-sixties of the last century was 95 years old.

Grieving his death, Italy’s Culture Minister Gennaro Sanzuliano said the fascination he spread will live on forever.

Gina Lolbrigida’s grandson Francesco Lolbrigida is now Italy’s Minister of Agriculture. “She was one of the brightest stars of Italian cinema and culture,” he wrote on Twitter, reporting the news of his grandmother’s death.

According to Reuters, Gina’s name will be mentioned alongside Sophia Loren in Italian cinema, although the two’s professional conflict has been the subject of discussion. In the 1950s and 1960s, Gina and Lorraine became symbols of Italian actress appeal.

In an interview, Gina said about herself, “I am a fireball, I am a volcano. What I did, I did with great passion.”
