Arsenal have been charged by England’s Football Association (FA) with indiscipline after they failed to control their players in their match against Newcastle United. They have also set a time limit for replying.
Referee Andrew Madley denied Arsenal two penalty calls in Tuesday’s goalless Premier League draw at the Emirates Stadium. A few Arsenal players surrounded the referee demanding a possible penalty for a handball late on.
The FA said in a statement on Friday that Arsenal will be charged in the incident. Mikel Arteta’s team has until Tuesday to respond to the allegations.
