“Two militants escaped recently. Our investigation committee is working to find out how they escaped, who is responsible.”
However, after a security inspection before the Awami League conference at Suhrawardy Udyan on Friday morning, RAB Director General M Khurshid Hossain admitted that there were ‘some failures’ of the law enforcement agencies in the militant robbery incident.
“There is nothing to be alarmed about,” said the Inspector General, saying that efforts are on to nab the fleeing militants. But we are not complacent. We are taking action where necessary.
“This is an isolated incident. The situation is completely under our control. Our members are working with professionalism.”
