BUET student Fardin Noor Parsh was last seen in Rampura, Dhaka, his mobile phone then moved towards Sadarghat, last known location in Keraniganj; And the body was recovered in Shitalakshya river at Godnail in Narayanganj.
How did Fardin’s body get there, missing three days ago? If he was a victim of murder, where was he killed? Who are the killers? Everything is still a blur with the police.
Fardin, a third-year student of Civil Engineering at BUET, lived with his family in Konapara, Demra, Dhaka. Fardin is the eldest among the three sons of Kazi Noor Uddin Rana.
His father Noor Uddin said that Fardin had eaten at home last Friday afternoon. He told his mother at home that there is an exam on Saturday, so he will study together with his friends. He will return home after the exam on Saturday afternoon.
But Fardin was absent in Saturday’s exam. When his friends told the family, his parents became worried. Noor Uddin filed a general diary (GD) about the loss of his son at Rampura police station after receiving no news.
According to Rampura Police Station OC Rafiqul Islam, information was found that Fardeen was going from Rampura to Sadarghat during the GD’s investigation.
He told bdnews24.com, “We started working after GD. According to the location of the mobile phone, we came to know that he (Fardin) had gone from Rampura to Johnson Road towards Sadarghat before the body was recovered.”
