Xavi Hernandez’s team won the La Liga match 2-1 at the opponent’s ground on Tuesday night.

Pedri equalized early in the second half after falling behind to a David Garcia goal. And in the end Rafinia scored the winning goal.

Barcelona go into the break with sure to be at the top of the league table. 12 wins and one draw in 14 matches, 37 points for the Catalan team. Last season’s champion Real Madrid is second with 32 points after playing one match less.

Osasuna took the lead with the first significant chance in the sixth minute. Spanish defender Garcia headed the goal in the D-box in the corner.

Despite dominating the possession of the ball from the beginning, Barcelona could not make much use of the attack. They got their first good chance in the 26th minute. The goalkeeper blocked Lewandowski’s shot from inside the D-box.

Lewandowski put the team in more danger in the 31st minute. He received a second yellow card for a needless foul on goal scorer Garcia near midfield. The Polish striker, after looking at the empty ball and again at Garcia, jumped on his body and elbowed him in the neck.
