ADP implementation in the first quarter is the highest in 5 years

In the first three months (July-September) of the current fiscal year 2022-23, 9.43 percent of the annual development program (ADP) allocation has been spent, which is the highest in 5 years, said Planning Minister MA Mannan.

The minister gave this information after the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday.

The Planning Minister presented the latest report of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Department (IMED) and said that a total development allocation of Tk 24,147 crore has been spent in the first three months of the current financial year till September. This expenditure is 9.43 percent of the total allocation

This expenditure is about Tk 4 thousand 588 crore more than the same period of last financial year. 8.26 percent was implemented till the first quarter of the last financial year.

Earlier, it had implemented 10.21 percent of ADP in the first quarter of 2017-18 financial year. Since then, the ADP implementation rate for the first quarter of a fiscal year has not exceeded 9 percent.
