“Stopping justice is not the character of democracy”

Sarwar Ali, the Trustee of the Liberation War Museum, said that withholding or delaying the trial is not the character of a democracy.

He made these remarks during the light-lighting program organized on the occasion of ‘115 months of killing and justicelessness of talented teenager Tanveer Muhammad Takki’ in the premises of Ali Ahmed Chunka Nagar Library in Narayanganj city on Saturday evening.

Narayanganj Cultural Alliance has been holding a light-lighting program on the 8th of every month to demand the start of trial and the arrest of the accused since the murder of Tukki.

On March 6, 2013, talented teenager Tanveer Muhammad Takki went missing after leaving his home on Shaista Khan Road in the city; Two days later, his body was found in Kumudini canal of Shitalakshya river.

However, the investigation agency RAB has not been able to submit the charge sheet of the murder case to the court.
