নিচে চোখের লেন্স , রেটিনা ও আইরিশের যথাযথভাবে কাজ বর্ণনা
লেন্স : পিউপিলের পেছনে একটি দ্বি – উত্তল লেন্স থাকে । লেন্সটির মাঝখানের দুই দিক উঁচু আর আগাটা সরু । লেন্সটি এক বিশেষ ধরনের সিলিয়ারি পেশি দ্বারা আটকানো থাকে এ পেশিগুলো সংকুচিত ও প্রসারিত হতে পারে । এদের সংকোচন প্রসারণ দরকার মতো লেন্সের আকৃতি পরিবর্তন করতে পারে ।
রেটিনা : রেটিনা অক্ষিগোলকের সবচেয়ে ভিতরের স্তর । এটি একটি আলোক সংবেদি স্তর । এখানে রড ও কোন নামে দুই ধরনের কোষ রয়েছে । চোখের লেন্সটি চক্ষু গোলককে সামনে ও পেছনে দুইটি অংশে বিভক্ত করে । এই অংশগুলোকে প্রকোষ্ঠ বলে । সামনের প্রকোষ্ঠে জলীয় এবং পেছনের মতো তার প্রকোষ্ঠে এক বিশেষ ধরনের জেলীর মতো তরল পদার্থ থাকে , যা চক্ষুগোলকে আলোকরশি প্রবেশ পষ্টি সরবরাহ এবং চক্ষগোলকের আকার বজায় রাখতে সহায়তা করে।
আইরিশ : কর্নিয়ার পেছনে কালো গোলাকার পর্দা থাকে । একে আইরিশ বলে । আইরিশের মাঝখানে একটি ছিদ্র থাকে , যাকে পিউপিল বলে । আইরিশ পেশি দিয়ে তৈরি । একে আমরা সাধারণত চোখের মণি বলে থাকি আইরিশের পেশিগুলো সংকুচিত ও প্রসারিত হতে পারে । আইরিশের পেশি সংকোচন প্রসারণের ফলে পিউপিল ছোট বড় হতে পারে । এর ফলে আলোকরশ্মি রেটিনায় প্রবেশ করতে পারে ।

অন্তঃকর্ণ একটি অডিটরি ক্যাপসুল অস্থির মধ্যে অবস্থিত । অন্তঃকর্ণ দুটি প্রধান প্রকোষ্ঠে বিভক্ত ।
( ক ) ইউট্রিকুলাস : অন্তঃকর্ণের এ প্রকোষ্ঠটি তিনটি অর্ধবৃত্তাকার নালি দিয়ে গঠিত । এদের ভিতরে আছে খুব সূক্ষ্ম লোমের মতো স্নায়ু ও রস । নালির ভিতরের এ রস যখন নড়ে বা আন্দোলিত হয় , উদ্দীপ্ত হয় । আর তখনই সে উদ্দীপনা মস্তিষ্কে পৌঁছায় তখনই স্নায়ুগুলো
( খ ) স্যাকুলাস : অন্তঃকর্ণের এই প্রকোষ্ঠের চেহারা অনেকটা শামুকের মতো প্যাচানো নালিকার মতো । একে ককলিয়া বলে । ককলিয়ার ভেতরে শ্রবণ সংবেদি কোষ থাকে । প্যাচানো নালিকা এক ধরনের রসে পূর্ণ থাকে । কানের যত্ন : কান আমাদের শ্রবণ ইন্দ্রিয় । কানের সমস্যার কারণে আমরা বধির হয়ে যেতে পারি । কানের যত্ন নেওয়ার জন্য যা করতে হবে , তা হলোঃ
- নিয়মিত কান পরিষ্কার করা।
- গোসলের সময় কানে যেন পানি না ঢোকে সেদিকে সতর্ক থাকা।
- কানে বাইরের কোনো বস্তু বা পোকামাকড় ঢুকলে ডাক্তারের পরামর্শ নেওয়া।
- উচ্চ শব্দে গান না শুনা।

জিভ বা জিহ্বা দিয়ে আমরা খাদ্যবস্তুর টক , ঝাল , মিষ্টি , তিতা স্বাদ গ্রহণ করে থাকি । এটা আমাদের স্বাদ র স্বাদ ইন্দ্ৰিয়। নিচে এ করা হলো এর কাজ ও যত্ন ব্যাখ্যা:
জিহ্বার কাজ:
- খাবার গিলতে সাহায্য করা ।
- খাদ্যবস্তুকে নেড়েচেড়ে দাঁতের নিকট পৌঁছে দেয় । ফলে খাদ্যবস্তু
- খাদ্যের স্বাদগ্রহণ করা । ●
- চিবানো সহজতর হয় ।
- খাদ্যবস্তুকে লালার সাথে মিশ্রিত করতে সাহায্য করে ।
- জিহ্বা আমাদের কথা বলতে সাহায্য করে ।
জিহ্বার যত্ন খাদ্য পরিপাকের জন্য জিহ্বা একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অঙ্গ। জিহ্বার যত্ন নিতে হলে যা করতে হবে তা হলো
● দাঁত ব্রাশ করার সময় নিয়মিত জিহ্বা পরিষ্কার করা। শিশুদের নিয়মিত জিহ্বা পরিষ্কার করা উচিত। তা না হলে জিহ্বায় ছত্রাকের সংক্রমণ হতে পারে.
• অনেক রোগের কারণে জিহ্বার উপর সাদা বা হলদে পর্দা পড়ে। জ্বর হলে সাধারণত এটা হয়। এ সময় পানিতে লবণ গুলে কুলকুচি করলে ভালো ফল পাওয়া যায়।
● শিশুদের জিহ্বা নিয়মিত পরিষ্কার না করলে জিহ্বার উপর দইয়ের মতো ছোট ছোট দাগ দেখা দেয় এটা এক প্রকার ছত্রাকের সংক্রমণ থেকে হয়।
● মুখ জিহ্বায় ঘা হলে অতি তাড়াতাড়ি তাড়াতাড়ি ডাক্তারের পরামর্শ নিতে হবে।
